SHANGHAI—SAIC Motor Corp., China’s largest auto maker by sales, has struck an agreement that paves the way for it to build and sell Audi AG vehicles in the country, people familiar with the deal said Saturday, as the German car maker seeks to strengthen its position at the top of China’s luxury-vehicle market.

Audi and SAIC this week signed a cooperation agreement, the people said, and will likely set up a joint venture to sell Audi cars. Separately, SAIC Volkswagen Co.—an existing joint venture between SAIC and Audi parent Volkswagen AG—will take up the manufacture of Audis, the people said.

India And Pakistan, Second Cold War, Third World War.

On September 17th, the latent tension between South Asian heavyweights India and Pakistan escalated into overt hostility after an attack on an Indian Army base in Uri, part of the Indian-controlled section of Kashmir. Mourning the deaths of 18 soldiers, the Indian public called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration to strike back. India eventually retaliated on September 29th with “surgical strikes” on terror launch pads inside the Pakistan-controlled section of Kashmir. These strikes resulted in the deaths of “38 terrorists and Pakistani soldiers.” Relations between India and Pakistan have since degenerated to new lows since the conclusion of the 1999 Kargil War.

China Tries To Conquer Everest

China has big plans for Mount Everest. Although the south-facing side of the mountain, in Nepal, might be better known, the Tibetannorth face also has a rich mountaineering history, and China has outlined an ambitious new vision for commercializing it. That may sound like an unseemly approach to the world's tallest and most forbidding peak. But on balance, it will actually be a good thing.

Sentences People With Depression Hate Hearing

It’s even worse when friends and relatives give some advice which does not help at all. The sad fact is that these opinions reflect an appalling ignorance about this mental illness. Depression affects 350 million people worldwide. It causes enormous suffering and is a contributory factor in death by suicide. The alarming fact is that less than 50% of patients will seek treatment, mainly because of ignorance and apathy.

Here are some pieces of advice which are pretty useless when you are trying to help a loved one suffering from depression. Do not use these phrases if you’re trying to be sympathetic. They may have the opposite effect than desired.

Things To Do When You Are Sad

Any time you’re feeling down, you have two options:
1) Keep doing what you’re doing
2) Do something to try and pick yourself back up.

Stop being so hard on yourself.

We put a lot pressure on ourselves. While it’s beneficial to aspire to greatness, sometimes you need to sit back, reflect, and recognize all the good things you have going on right now. So when you’re feeling down, try this: think about the things in life you’re grateful for. Focus on what you have … not what you don’t. Stop putting so much pressure on yourself. Be content with who you are right now at this moment. And remember, happiness is a choice.

Who is the leader of ISIS? Why USA is trying to sacrifice Sunni community for it's own interests?

ISIS is a US-Israeli Creation. Top Ten “Indications”

ISIS is a US-Israeli creation, a fact as clear as the sky is blue. It’s a truth as black and white as the colors on their flag. For many alternative news readers, this may be patently obvious, but this article is written for the large majority of people in the world who still have no idea who is really behind the rise of ISIS. No matter which name they go by – ISIS, ISIL, IS or Daesh – the group has been deliberately engineered by the US and Israel to achieve certain geopolitical goals. They are a religious, fundamentalist, Sunni terrorist organization created to terrorize and overthrow certain secular or Shiite Arab nations such as Syria and Iraq, but they are not just “Islamic”. They may be Muslims, and they may be advocating an Islamic State, but they are very much working towards the goals of Zionism.

It’s amazing how many people still struggle to get that point. We have been inundated with propaganda surrounding the fraudulent war on terror, notably terms such as Islamic terrorism and radical Islam, but more accurate phrases would be Zio-Islamic terrorism and radical Zio-Islam. Secret military agencies such as the CIA and the Mossad pull the strings. Here is a list of the top 10 ‘indications’ that ISIS is a US-Israeli creation.

For Every 1000 Chinese, There's A Multimillionaire

It's not as hard as you might think to bump into a multimillionaire in China these days.

The Chinese mainland is home to 1.34 million multimillionaires as of May this year, increasing by 130,000 people with a 10.7 percent growth rate, according to a recently released Hurun report.

Given the national population was 1.368 billion at the end of 2014, based on National Bureau of Statistics, multimillionaires, including billionaires, now make up 0.1 percent of the total population of China.

That means for every 1,000 Chinese, there is one multimillionaire.

The number of billionaires has reached 89,000, an extra 11,000 or a 14.1 percent increase compared to last year.

Guangdong province is now home to the most number of multimillionaires, replacing Beijing with 240,000 people.

More than half of all multimillionaires are located in Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai and Zhejiang.

But where do we have the best chance to meet one?

What India Wants From Pakistan

I am posting here a follow up thread to my last one "What India Wants From Pakistan". Because of some reason I could not post anymore on that thread so after reading over 10 pages posts on the previous one I decided to write about my observations here in this new thread !

Just to regather , I wanted to know the view point of people across the border on what they expect Pakistan to do to have a normal relations with India instead of ongoing war like situation. Also I pointed out the complains which most of people of Pakistan have against Indians and why we think India always is enemy of Pakistan .

My observations are that most Indians seem to accept Pakistan as a reality and ready to live with it but in dealing with Pakistan they have a superiority complex and wish to dominate their terms for peaceful relations instead of equality . But they do realize importance of Pakistan specially as a land transit trade route to Central Asia .

The gist of their views can be said in three sentences. 1 / Give up Kashmir 2/ Stop terrorism 3/ Give access to Central Asia .

On matter of Kashmir majority of Indians consider the whole of Jammu ?Kashmir & GB as theirs but ready to accept current status quo in which both countries remain happy with what they got and make the current borders as Final Line of Control. Only a few Indians do realize that they have occupied Kashmir unjustly but even those people want Pakistan to accept this and not willing to give up their part of Kashmir .

On water issues it seems that most Indians consider Indus Water Treaty as already a big concession to Pakistan and not ready to accept the idea that India is trying to control Pak rivers by building dams on them.

Finally on terrorism almost all Indians who responded have single view and that is we Pakistanis have always been doing terrorism in India specially by sending Jihadis in Kashmir and either India has never done any kind of terrorism in Pakistan at all or what ever Indians have done is only a reply .

After reading the views of Indians I like to put forward my own views which can be considered as a message to across the border .

First of all Pakistan is an independent sovereign nation of 200 million people and ready to have good relations with India just like we have with China but only if India decides to behave like a friendly nation.

Secondly, Indians should realize that matter of Kashmir can only be decided according to the will of people of Kashmir them selves . It is not upto Pakistan or India to impose on them our own wills . They should realize that it is the Indian Occupied side of Kashmir which has constantly been burning for last 69 years and not the Pakistan side so the problem lies on their part . They are the ones who have more then 700,000 military in a region of less then 10 million people and have been constantly killing innocent people , raping their women , destroying their youth and culture . Times are changing and in modern times a one country cannot oppress and govern any region by force and sooner or later they have to give up Kashmir but then already too much cost would be paid in terms of monetary social and human cost ! For the start Indians can stop killing Kashmiris and work with Pakistan to make the Jammu and Kashmir region as demilitarized land , give both regions more autonomy and allow people from both Kashmirs to free to travel and trade with each other . Once situation is improved then will of Kashmiri people should be asked and matter should be decided only and only according to what Kashmiri people want .

Thirdly, water is a matter of life and death for an individual or any country . If Pakistan feels that their life line is being blocked or taken away from them then they will have no other reason but to fight for it . So it is better for India to stop tempering with Pakistani waters and solve this issue amicably or be ready for the consequences which will not be good for peace of the region.

Fourthly , on issue of terrorism , Indian public seem to be blinded by their media and see just one side of the story. They consider events like 2008 Mumbai attack , Uri and so on as state sponsored terror acts from Pakistan. On the contrary the evidence shows that the Mumbai attack of 2008, Parliament attack of 2001 and Samjhota Express burning, and some others which have all been credited to Pakistan had actually been false flag operations of Indian RAW ! On the contrary Pakistan authorities have concrete evidence about Indian involvement in terrorism in Pakistan . We have caught serving Indian officers like Kulboshan Yadav , Sarbajit Singh and so on who have admitted their crimes . I suggest Indian people to find out what their countries so many consulates are doing in Afghanistan and Iran adjacent to Pakistan border . I am sure thy will be surprised to find that these consulates are actually breeding grounds of terrorists who are being brain washed their and then send to Pakistan for blowing our people. The dreadful incident of APS and so many others like this and blood of 50,000 innocent Pakistanis is on their hands. The truth is that it is India not Pakistan which is sponsoring terrorism in neighboring country so it should stop in case Indians wish to see good relations with Pakistan.

In the end I would like to say that in case of peace between two countries Pakistan can offer a lot to India in same way as we are offering to China . Indians can conduct trade and investment and can freely travel and have access to a market of over 200 million people whose economy is growing . India can also integrate to countries like Iran and Central Asian region as well as Russia and Turkey via Pakistan . In reply Pakistanis will also love to have access to Indian markets and free travel within India and have contact with their Muslim brothers and sisters who are still living in India and also visit Islamic holy and our cultural heritage sites . So peace between two countries is a win win situation for both but for this it need sacrifice from both sides and more from India as it is a bigger power .

I , however, know that under current circumstances the above happy situation may take years or even decades since no side seem to budge from their stance. Still at the most we can hope for a situation like "Cold Peace" in which both countries just dont interfere or bother each other for a while and live and let live and see from where it can lead . I say this because the last alternate left for both countries is only one and that is conflict and with both being nuclear power this will do nothing but destroy each other and our future generations ! Are we willing to do that ?????

China's Secret Weapons In Trade Battles With India Are NTBs

A small-time exporter from Mumbai wanted to ship out engineering goods to China. He was told that a Chinese team was required to visit his factory and he would have to pay for it.

By: Banikinkar Pattanayak | New Delhi | Updated: November 4, 2016 5:41 PM

In a recent meeting with the Chinese ambassador-designate to India, commerce and industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave “examples after examples” on how non-tariff barriers are hurting India’s exports to that country.

A small-time exporter from Mumbai wanted to ship out engineering goods to China. He was told that a Chinese team was required to visit his factory and he would have to pay for it. He agreed, and spent some R10 lakh on the team’s visit. After six months he was told that another team would land up at his factory again before getting to the next stage of obtaining the permit. Assuming that this was going to be a long, arduous and expensive process, he decided to dump the idea and looked for another destination.

Despite Fast-Growing Economy, India Struggles To Create Jobs

NEW DELHI —
India’s main Hindu festival of lights is just days away, but there is little cheer for 35-year-old Kali Charan. For a week, the daily-wage laborer has hung on the side of a busy street intersection in the business hub of Gurgaon hoping that building contractors or home owners will stop by to seek his services.

He is not alone. This is the spot where scores of other unemployed laborers gather daily in search of work as masons, carpenters, painters and plumbers.

One Belt, One Road: China builds infrastructure with speed unprecedented in history

A few weeks ago, China opened on its territory a nearly 1,000-mile long highway in the northern parts of the country, in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia. At first glance, there is nothing unusual as far as the 930-kilometre (km) stretch between Bayan Nur City and the village of Alha in North China goes ... completely through the Gobi Desert. Many would ask what is the economic benefit of a road passing through the nothingness? On the territory of the Gobi Desert, which is 12 times larger than Bulgaria, live about as many people as in the municipality of Petrich (most of them in the country of Mongolia), and large reserves of natural resources are not available. The world's longest highway through the desert, however, is part of the new Silk Road: 'One Belt, One Road'. The completion of the highway of over 2,000 km will be finalised in June 2017 and the trip between the capital, Beijing, and Urumqi in Sindzyan - the Uighur autonomous region - will be shortened to 10 hours. From there, from the west, north and south stretch the vast spaces of Asia and Europe with the colossal economic prospects that they hide.
The Chinese leaders slowly but methodically move towards a grandiose infrastructure project of the new Silk Road. Beijing will not just build a fast transport and communication link with the countries of the Eurasian continent with this. The project, 'One Belt, One Road', aims to redefine global trade and financing and to transform the geopolitical architecture of the world, replacing the Atlantic and Pacific relations with Eurasian trade and economic and financial cooperation.

Pakistan Cannot Conquer Kashmir Through War : Hina Rabbani Khar

ISLAMABAD: Former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Sunday said Pakistan cannot "conquer Kashmir through war" and progress on the issue can only me made in an environment of mutual trust with India.

"I believe that Pakistan cannot conquer Kashmir through war and if we cannot do that, the option we are left with is dialogue, and dialogue can only proceed with a partner with which we have normal relations and a certain level of mutual trust," Khar said in an interview with Geo News.

She claimed that the PPP government, despite being a coalition government, had tried its best to normalize ties with India through relaxation of visa rules and by normalizing trade ties.

"The issues between the two countries cannot be resolved in a hostile environment."

Khar, who remained Pakistan's foreign minister from 2011 to 2013, maintained that the Kashmir issue can be resolved "if we continue to talk on the issue, then we will reach somewhere".

Answering a question regarding the military's influence on Pakistan's foreign policy, she said that it is a diplomat's job to carry forward the military's perspective on issues where the military is a relevant stake holder.

Khar stated some people believe that the issue can only be resolved "if there is a BJP government in India and a military government in Pakistan".

Khar observed that Musharraf gave India adequate relaxation on the Kashmir issue during his tenure.

'US tilt towards India driven by economy'
When asked about the recent downturn in Pak-US ties and the US' tilt towards India, the former foreign minister said the US tilt towards India is driven by economy, market and because of a wish to contain the rising power of China.

"Now let us ask ourselves, is US moving towards India because India is a nuclear state, or because it is a military power, no, it is people power and their democratic traditions, if we want to compete, lets compete on these grounds," said Khar.

The former foreign minister also termed Pakistan's entry into Afghan Jihad a 'mistake' and maintained that Pakistan's dependence on US is more in "our minds than on the ground".

She termed it as Zia's mistake for helping the US in the 80s, and added Musharraf had no option when it came to helping the US in 2001.

'Foreign office or political office'
Criticizing the approach and the performance of ministry of foreign affairs, she asked if the foreign office has turned into a political office.

"The foreign office is busy nowadays in apprising the nation about some country's leader sending flowers to the prime minister or inquiring about his health," said Khar.

Khar maintained that Pakistan's current foreign policy is "reactive and not active" as Pakistan is not taking its own line or direction but is only reacting on the circumstances arising in the region or world at large.

"In 60 years, we have taught our children that our national identity is to hate someone, and we are doing it with those who are physically the nearest. Hostile with India and now hostile with Afghanistan," said the former foreign minister.

Summing up her answer, she maintained that the basic objective of Pakistan's foreign policy should be to serve the people of the country and not the pursuit of power.

Barcelona striker Lionel Messi ruled out for three weeks

Lionel Messi will be out for three weeks after suffering a groin strain in Barcelona's draw with Atletico Madrid.

The striker went off on 59 minutes on Wednesday after a Diego Godin tackle.

He was forced to miss Argentina's World Cup 2018 qualifier against Venezuela earlier this month with a groin injury, but has played in all five La Liga games for his club this season.

The Argentine could return for Barca's Champions League tie with Manchester City on 19 October.

Prior to that tie, Messi will be ruled out of games against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League, Sporting Gijon and Celta Vigo in La Liga, and World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Paraguay.

Sergio Busquets was also forced off with injury in the second half of Wednesday's game as Angel Correa's equaliser cancelled out Ivan Rakitic's opener at the Nou Camp.

How to Make Twins. Factors and Increase Chances of Having Twins

Nowadays, many couples want to have twins and are willing to do whatever it takes to increase the odds in their favor. Besides, there is nothing wrong with dreaming that one day you will also have twins. While it is a fact that you do not get to choose who gets to be in your family, the case is slightly different when it comes to conceiving twins. If you come from a family that has a history of hyper ovulation (the release of more than a single egg when ovulating), it helps because your chance of having twins increases.

How Common Are Twins?

Back in 2010, there was one birth of twins in every thirty births that happened in the USA. Moreover, 1 in every 726 births was for triplets or a higher order of children in a single birth.

Europe doesn't threaten national identity

EU leaders will come together in Bratislava to discuss the way forward after the Brexit vote. They will reflect on the need to do better when it comes to providing security, jobs and growth. They will focus on delivering results in a way that unites us, not least in the interest of the young.

As European commissioner in charge of education, culture, youth and sport, I think that one of the most pressing lessons from the outcome of the Brexit vote is this: we must do better at creating a European identity.

US threatens UN arms embargo on South Sudan

US Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power speaks during a UN Security Council in Juba on September 2, 2016, to push for regional force.
The United States on Wednesday threatened to push for a UN arms embargo on South Sudan if the government blocks the deployment of a new regional force and impedes the work of UN peacekeepers.
US Ambassador Samantha Power said President Salva Kiir's government must quickly show that it will follow up on its commitment to allow the 4,000-strong force to be deployed in Juba, the country's capital.

At UN, Pakistan asks India six questions over Kashmir situation.

NEW YORK: Pakistan again questioned India’s unabated atrocities on defenceless Kashmiris with impunity and urged the international community to come to the aid of Kashmiris facing massive human rights violations.

At the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in a right of reply, the Pakistani delegate asked India to respond for the Council’s information that:

1. Can India deny that the situation in Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute on which there are number of UN resolutions?

2. Can India deny that the UN has expressly called for the holding of an impartial plebiscite to ascertain the wishes of the Kashmiri people?

France and Germany plan' more active' EU defence

France and Germany are preparing joint proposals for a "more active and more useful" European defence policy, the French defence ministry told AFP on Friday.

The document, by French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and his German counterpart Ursula von der Leyen, will serve as a "basis for considering a relaunch of European defence", the ministry said and comes ahead of a European Union summit to discuss plans to boost the bloc's security and defence mechanisms.

The objective is to make European defence "more active and more useful without substituting it for national defence bodies which remain, by definition, the key to the security of EU member states," a member of LeDrian's entourage said.

"What we are looking for is to trigger EU operations more easily," he added, without revealing details of the plans. He did say, however, that these were "concrete" proposals and not just "grand ideas".

The Franco-German document proposes the establishment of a European defence headquarters, a common satellite surveillance system and the sharing of logistics and military medical resources, according to the Saturday edition of the German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung

There would be a tighter circle of EU members for some defence projects where it proves impossible to gain agreement from all, the paper added, citing the document.
There is also a suggestion for better use of Eurocorps, an intergovernmental military body that has France and Germany at its centre. Belgium, Spain and Luxembourg are members of the Strasbourg-based Eurocorps, set up for rapid deployment to hotspots.

The EU has already been involved in the training of foreign armies, as part of conflict resolution, and might become involved in financing their equipment.

The bloc could also become engaged in research and development, to strengthen the European defence industry. The discussions are in part due to the June vote by Britain to leave the EU.

According to von der Leyen, London had long "paralysed" European efforts to have a more closely integrated security policy.

French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel initiated the joint security initiative on the margins of a NATO summit in July and are set to present the resulting ideas for discussion at the EU summit in Bratislava next week.

The informal meeting is expected to provide a new impetus for the EU in several areas, including youth and investments, as the bloc seeks to forge its future without Britain. However British Prime Minister Theresa May reaffirmed on Thursday that she would not launch Brexit talks this year.

Turkey Could Stumble in a US-trap in Syria and Iraq

This was the discussion started by 'Hurshid Celebi'

in'Middle East & Africa'

Turkey is preparing for a multinational mission in Syria and

Iraq against ISIS, high probably with boots on the ground.

If necessary diplomatic assurances are not 100%

guaranteed , Turkey could be the big loser.

USA wants SDF to act as the guide force against ISIS in

Rakka and PKK / YPG also to be operational in Mosul.

Should Turkey accept this US conditions and once again

give away own cards, as in the refugee agreements with the

EU, Turkey will be at the end of the day the big loser.

This operation must be discussed in details with Russia,

Iran, Syria and Iraq and legitimated from the UN.

SURE, National territory has to be protected beyond own

boarders , but with waterproof guarantees.

China Successfully Develops Quantum Radar System

A Chinese firm has tested and developed a radar system which uses quantum involvement to beat the stealth technologyof modern military craft: Media said,

The first Chinese quantum radar was developed by the intelligent Perception Technology Laboratory of the 14th Institute in CETC, according to Xinhua news agency. CETS stands for Electronics Technology Group Corporation, a defense and electronics firm.

The system was able to detect a target at a range of 100 Km in a real-world environment, the report said, "The device employs single photon detection technology."

Quantum radar is a device that uses quantum involvement photons to provide better detection capabilities than conventional radar systems. The method would be useful for tracking targets with a low radar cross section, such as modern aircraft using stealth technology or targets employing active countermeasures to jam or baffle enemy radar.

Earlier, China launched the world's first quantum communications satellite, which uses quantum entanglement for cryptography.

The radar was tested in mid-August, Xinhua said in a Thursday report.

The technology may also find use in bio-medicine, since quantum radar requires lower energy and can be used to non-invasively probe for objects with low reflectivity, such as cancer cells.
